Malta is seeped in history and culture and in spite of its small size, Malta is indeed a treasure trove for the History lover! The large amount of pre-historical temples found around Malta, in relation to the size of the island, make them even more mysterious and interesting. Some of our Neolithic temples date back to around 3800 B.C. among the oldest are Imnajdra and Hagar Qim in Malta, and Ggantija in Gozo. Also of interest are the Hypogeum in Tarxien and Ghar Dalam in Birzebbuga, dating back to pre Ice Age. Visiting the medieval city of Mdina is also a must, as well as the Roman villa in Rabat. Our school organises trips to such places of interest with an experienced and licensed guide on a regular basis. Students can also visit several museums around the island, mainly in the Baroque capital, Valletta, as well as in the three cities. Visits to the sister island of Gozo, visiting among others, the cittadella, the Ggantija temples, and the famous Calypso cave are also organised. One other interesting activity is seeing the Malta experience and the Gozo experience, which are short films all about the rich history of Malta and Gozo.
